This is a picture of my grandparents on their wedding day in the Bowery in New York City. They emigrated from a small village called Lakta Dolna, in southern Poland. This is a journey to find out more about my family history in Poland. It will include lessons in the Polish language, some side trips and a meeting with my first Polish teacher, who now lives in Poland.I have not seen him for over 20 years.
